Coming Down

When you're sick, you do weird things. And when I say you, I mean me. And my sick husband. And when I say sick, I mean REALLY sick. Not me (although I would definitely be a contender if sickness were a contest), mostly just my Honey Lamb (name that film), who is sicker than I have ever seen him, and who would likely become more sick if he knew I just called him, "Honey Lamb."

See? I told you being sick makes you do weird things. Like the other morning as I gathered laundry from my husband's side of the room, I found myself thinking, "Aww...the poor little fella," which made me giggle to myself because I don't usually make a habit of referring to him in that fashion. I should have known that within the hour I would be coming down with something of my own.

Or today. When I backed up in the drive thru to change my order, and then drove halfway across the country just so I wouldn't have to turn left (okay, so that's not so unusual for me). Or when I decided, last second-like, to take my kids up to the mountains for pictures, then decided the mountains were ugly, and settled for the side of the highway. Or when I made all my children gargle with warm salt water and swabbed their noses out with hydrogen peroxide (we're not taking any chances - it's a war on flu around here). Or when my Netflix videos have been sitting, unwatched, for a week because we don't feel like watching them (Gasp, I know). Or when I really wanted to make a bunch of photo collages to share with you, but Picnik was really bugging me, so I uploaded a photo at random.

Or now. When I decided to blog, even though I can't think straight and have nothing to say.

I know. Weird.

Nothing to say? It just ain't true, Honey Lamb. (What move IS that? I know I know, but I just can't think of it.)
Being sick is an awful state, as we know...very, very well. Get well soon and I loved your post!

(I just thought of it! Pillow Talk, of course.)

Sorry you guys have been battling the flu at your house. I hope you get feeling better soon!

And did you say you backed up at a drive thru? haha! I have never done that before. Interesting.

I'm so glad you are back, and that one of the weird things you do when you are sick is blog.
Get well soon. My mind is not all there, either, but pregnant head is something I'm used to.

Pillow Talk!! One of our favorites!

You nothings are a lot better than my somethings, so any time you feel like blogging but don't have anything to say, please say it!

I'm sorry you've been sick. Noah just came down with it, and I spent the day cloroxing the house. Hopefully we can keep it from spreading, especially to Clara and my "Honey lamb"!

Feel better soon.

It's devistating our community. Out of a class of around 600, 200-something were absent from school! 3 of my piano student's/families have had swine flu (I clorox wipe my piano after every student - don't tell my tuner), my neice and nephew both have had it, not to mention all the regular seasonal flu that's going around.

It's no fun, but think of how much stronger your antibodies will be when it's all said and done. :) Okay, I know that didn't help, but take care, nevertheless.

I will listen to you say nothing anytime. Your nothing rolls off the tips of your fingers much better than mine. Blog on, dear friend, blog on. (But I hope you don't mind that I am reading your blog wearing latex gloves and a surgical mask)

hahaha you always make me laugh. backing up in the drive thru sounds very dangerous....had you just kept making left turns you could have gone through the line again....and again :) I hope you all are feeling better. Every single one of my kids has been sick.....blah, but thank heavens and knock on wood, I'm doin ok :)

It is a war on the flu! At least at our house too. I'm determined to not get very sick with it and get everyone else better before I crash at least. My hubby is SO sick too. I made him stay down for the weekend. It lasts for 2 weeks in your body so even if you feel better still keep up on all the stuff to get better. We started on the salt water stuff too and have loaded up on Vit C., Garlic, Vit D etc.... Feel better!!! Did you get that extra wife yet? Because I just might need one soon too :)

ooh. so sorry to hear you've been sick! Although I wish I had an excuse for doing weird and spasmatic things. My only excuse is that I'm weird and spasmatic!

Really though, thanks for posting despite the sickness because reading your blog always makes me laugh (I know. that's not very kind since you're sick)!
