Partridge in a Pear Tree

On the fourth day after Christmas, my camera gives to thee: Three guitar heroes, two pajama-wearing gunslingers and one naked toddler incident...

So there you have it folks. Christmas, 2008 in a nutshell. And, in case you wondered, I broke down Christmas eve and made gingerbread men for the tree. And, in case that's not enough random information for ya, here's more:
* In a sudden and urgent fit of annoyance, I dismantled said tree at approximately 7:00 p.m. Christmas day.
* At least half of all the toys my children received are already broken.
* I don't mean to be rude, but my husband is better than your husband. Don't believe me? Someday I'll enlighten you. Maybe.
* I already bought all my Christmas decorations for next year, and here's a hint: the theme is red, white, gold, and funky light/bright green!
* I joined facebook today.
* Between that and xbox (you should see the way my groupies cheer at my genuinely heroic guitar skills), who has time for blogs?
* I am incredibly popular on facebook. It's a little reminiscent of my xbox exploits, actually.
* I am an impulsive exaggerator.
* But I never exaggerate my husband's awesomeness, so watch out!
* Sometimes I worry that someone will read my blog and not "get" it. But I post anyway.

Too funny for your own good! I was gonna say..."Hey, wait a minute...she said she didn't decorate her tree..." but then you explained about the gingerbread cookies. They were SO cute! Did you eat them all as you took down the tree? Love the photos. I NEVER get good Christmas day photos--that's why I'm dragging my feet about posting anything.

Very funny! That guitar game looks so fun. So, why was Sylas naked? And, I'd like to challenge you about the whole husband thing. I have the best one in the world. It's true.

Who has time for adult responsibilities when we have blogger, facebook, and guitar hero? I think I am going to quit my job and run around like Sylas. . .probably not as cute.

I love taking down the tree! I'm really not a scrooge, but after three plus weeks of watering(three times a day)keeping kids out of ornaments, cleaning up pine needles, and plugging/unplugging lights, I feel like I have an extra child. Why is it that Christmas toys break so soon? We lost a good 4-5 on Christmas day, bummer.

LOOKS like you guys had a fabulous Christmas, especially Sylas! haha. We just got back into town last night- it's good to be home and to have internet connection again, as my parents don't believe in it- I know, crazy. I feel like I have been deprived from the blogging/facebook world for too long! That's sad. I will update soon...maybe.

Marianne, as if a two-year old boy needs an excuse to be naked! It's what they do best!

I'm gonna need to see a picture of this present "World's Best Husband" slapped together for you. Then we will all be able to make an educated comment on his title. Also, naked babies are my fav. Glad you had a splendid Christmas. Now some pictures lady....

Amber, it wasn't the presents that made him wonderful (though they didn't hurt his reputation, by any means). It's everything he does and says, and everything he doesn't do and doesn't say...just for me. Most are too personal to share, especially since I try not to brag too hard on my blog (I save THAT for my journal).
