Sweet Surrender

My sweet tooth took some time off. For almost two weeks he vacationed somewhere exotic while I enjoyed freedom from sugar cravings. My husband complained (and ransacked the pantry each night), my children cried, but I felt nothing. No yearning to bake. No desire to snack. It was glorious.

But

Mr. Sweet I. Tooth has returned. With a vengeance. He must have been lifting weights or backpacking across Europe, cause he has increased noticeably in strength and endurance.

And

Let's face it, I'm not exactly in any condition to fight off his advances. I'm not even sure I want to.

So

I give up.

Smart choice in surrendering. Life w/out Mr. Sweet I. Tooth would be miserable. There would be no reason to live. Welcome back to normalcy. (ps. If you think he might take another extended hiatus, could you please ask him to schedule it during a time you will NOT be in Boise!)

I don't think my Mr. Sweet Tooth ever goes on vacation. It's high time he did or I'm going to be in BIG trouble (if you know what I mean).

What IS that delectable dessert in the picture? Did you take that photo? NIce. I wish my sweet tooth would take a break. I pushed him aside for a month or so but I can't live without him any longer.

Sharlee, I DID take that photo, mere moments before devouring every delectable morsel of the last piece of a little something I like to call homemade chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and pecans. I do enjoy a good cake.

Ooops, I just drooled on my laptop. I hope it is water proof.

My sweet tooth is a workaholic and NEVER takes a vacation (which can be proved by the half-empty pan of brownies on my stove). I can't use the "my baby is just (fill the the blank) weeks old" for much longer! I better kick Mr. Sweet Tooth out soon!

oh wow. That cake looks divine. In some ways it is good to be pregnant. When I dive into something sweet(and fatty), I don't have to make an excuse, people just understand and I can eat all I want. Of course the consequences of that will be bad as once I have the twins I will have to work my bum off to get it off, but I still have a few months to worry about that! Until then, me and my Mr.Sweet Tooth are not taking any time off.

Mine goes on vacation every once in a while. Oh, no, wait, that's my appetite for healthy things. No, Mr. Sweet Tooth is always my companion. And he, combined with Cadence's potty training rewards system (open bag of chocolate chips!) is the reason that I have acne on my forehead. Worth it. Oh, and the picture is beautiful, including that plate.
