Because I Have More Photos of Chickens than Sense...

So my friend, Amber, decided to blog every day through August, starting yesterday.

Call me desperately void of originality, but I thought I would try it, too.

It sounds like a good challenge, and I could use a little something (of my own choosing) to challenge me right now.

I have been feeling way too picked-on lately for my own good, so this could prove distracting and therapeutic at best, energy-sucking and life-draining at worst.

What have I got to lose?

So consider this #2, since I posted last night.

I really did. You'll just never know it because I deleted it this morning after resolving to quit complaining...or at least to quit complaining AS MUCH.

I think blogging might be dangerous for me. I used to write through my frustrations and then rip up the pages. Now I write through my frustrations and post them for the world (and my husband) to see.

(comfort yourself with the knowledge that I intended to save it in my archives for my own personal reading/rehashing, but then accidentally deleted it completely into oblivion)

Just answer me this: if I had, theoretically, entitled a post, "Like a Chicken Needs a Bicycle," in which I discussed feminism, father in-laws, and chickens, would any of you have understood the reference? Cause, theoretically, my husband did not. Then I, theoretically, had to explain it to him, at which point it was not funny or clever...theoretically. And then I began feeling insecure about the entire post, and well, you know how this story ends.

...and this is turning into a very confusing post, is it not?

So anyway. Let's meet back here every day (except Saturdays and Sundays - c'mon, a girl's got to have some time to herself every now and then) for the rest of the month and see what happens.

Are you with me?

Yeah! I'm excited that you're going to post more often. I'm always glad I visited, whether I come away laughing or empowered and inspired. I read that post last night in my reader but was so behind that I never made it here to comment but I LOVED it!!! I'm not sure if I got the reference or not. You're so smart and clever, there is probably some meaning beyond what I "got" but regardless, I LOVED it!!!

Then I want to say, "Girl's rock" or something like that but it looks to silly so I won't. :-)

Bike "like a chicken needs a bicycle" did you mean who needs 'em? C'mon, post lastnight's post. We love to hear you complain. I'll be back every day to read you.

Ohhhh I am excited! That is one of the reasons why my blogs are nonexistent. I can't trust my judgment. I am looking forward to the entertainment Amber and you will be providing me!

I agree with Sharlee, just change the names to protect the innocent. :)

Please be "desperately void of originality" all the time if it means I get to read your witty post more frequently.

Oh and a few other things...

1. Do you want me to tell your new Asian BFF that you already have that position filled and that if s/he has any desire to be considered as an alternate member of our "club" they had better start speakin our language?!

2. I once went to a museum where they had an entire fake miniature chicken farm some artist had crafted. In said farm was a chicken on a mini-bicycle. All I'm saying is don't discriminate because of their short legs. They can do anything they put their minds(or their freakishly extended legs) to.
