Coop d'etat

The chicken coop (it's actually a chicken tractor) is done.

Well, practically. And by practically, I mean that Ty slapped some chicken wire on it, put on some doors, and stuck the chickens in it this last weekend while I was gone. Before I had a chance to paint the trim or window. Or question every move he made. Or bring him big mugs of ice water and kiss his weary lips (who knew building a chicken coop would be so rough on the lips?).

(this is what it looked like when I left)

The chickens are already using it, which means it will never actually get finished now. Which means it looks a little ghetto (especially when compared to the five star rubbermaid container our chickens have grown so accustomed to these last few weeks).

But I was gone. And if being gone means that I am now the lucky owner of a ramshackle chicken fortress, then I'll take it. Rams...shackles...or any mixture of the two.

If taking a mini vacation with my girlfriends means that it is now impossible to feed or water the chickens without sustaining multiple chicken wire scratches to my arms and hands, then so be it.

Bring on the staph infection.

It was so worth it.

That's awesome! I love that it's on wheels. What a brilliant husband you have.

A brilliant husband, indeed! On wheels... it looks like a palace to me!
And thanks for your advice on the topic of murderous thoughts in a three-year-old. I guess it's normal. You don't think that the violence in the old Disney movies is maybe too much? I mean, it is pretty scary. What are your thoughts on Little Mermaid, cause I mean, that girl is a little brat.
I'll relax about the killing comments, I guess.

What an idea! A chicken coop tractor? It's awesome but I'm sorry to hear that it is so painful to use. Maybe just a little duct tape over any sharp edges. That'll add just a little more ghetto charm!

A great friend indeed, who is willing to get a staff infection! I envision your life to be so whimsical and romantic. Keep on keepin’ on as I need to escape my reality.

Miss you my dear friend!

I'm sorry, but I can't get visions of Napoleon Dynamite out of my head. Those crazy chickens that just don't want to cooperate..... and then you enjoy their eggs-- boiled, egg salad, in your juice etc.... I hope you make at least 9 cents an hour lollllll So, Do Chickens have large talons? :) Don't worry, I don't understand a word I just said either.
