Niether Here Nor There

Twelve years ago today, I was single.

Twelve years ago tomorrow, I got married. And was suddenly not single.

Seven years from tomorrow, I will have been married longer than I was single.

Seven years from last Monday, I will be 38 years old.

Two hours ago, my husband told me that my father in-law is staying with us for a few days.

Two hours from now, I will be sleeping, dreaming of the romantic anniversaries in my future. The ones where we go somewhere - anywhere - together. Even if that somewhere (anywhere) is nowhere. As long as it's just the two of us.

Cause I like the two of us.

We are awesome.

Together.

On the list of traditional anniversary gifts, i don't remember "inlaws" for the 12th, but maybe I just didn't see it.. good to know in two years.

Happy Anniversary!!

I think the craziest thing about this is that I remember when you got married. I remember playing "all day" while all the grown-ups were at the temple and we had babysitters, but I had all kinds of responsibility in my head. I got to sleep in a camper. I gave you and Ty flower seeds as a wedding gift. Goodness, that feels like another life. Congratulations!!!! :D

I've missed everything around this joint. Birthdays and anniversaries and everything else in between. I'm back. And all that blogging is actually making me quite happy. Feeling reconnected again. I like being connected. Different than having connections but equally as rewarding.
